Rizzi Exhibitin at Gallery Kugel
2016 will see the completion of a project for which James Rizzi has created the designs over 15 years ago: two Rizzi church windows – congenially transferred onto stained glass by the renowned German glass studios Derix – will be inaugurated during a celebratory church service at the Kreuzeskirche in Essen, Germany, on August 28. To mark the occasion, two very special 3D editions of the church windows’ motives, “FATHER AND SON” and “JESUS IS LIFE”, will be published: though they may not be transparent as the original windows they still glow, as individual elements of the 3D pieces will be leaf gilded. The edition is limited to 350 + 50 commercially available handmade copies.
