The Rizzi house is in the late summer center of the annual „old town celebration“. Because of the reconditioning of numerous of the medieval houses in the past years, this district is on the best way to become a gem of the traditional parts of Braunschweig.
The architecture
The object consists of two corresponding buildings - "which in six units arranged, bolt-like solitaires, ajar against the Braunschweig Kemenaten",

as well as the high, upward cubically back-gradating " Palazzo". From the arrangement to each other, an edge to the palace square and a framed place is in the result, facing to the “Ackerhof”. Like a solitaire the five-story structure stands as an indication to the park. Eight cubic units, with per 15 square meters of surface fuse together.

The roof gardens are vegetated, partly accessible and granting a fantastic view over the city.
The emergence
The frontage and space design, developed by James Rizzi in close co-operation with the project team, represent a novelty, both in civil engineering and the assigned materials. Yellow, green, red, pink, with noses, lips, eyes, hearts and flying birds - in that way the only RIZZI House of the world presents itself in its whole bright colour splendour.
