The Idea
During his journeys Peter Maffay succeeded in joining people for his project "Begegnungen - Eine Allianz für Kinder". He met with musicians in numerous states. He spoke with politicians and celebrities, who already dedicate themselves for children in their respective home countries. The result is an international Charity Network.

from all over the world and more than that, develop an international network for the well-being of the children of this earth. Children, who must live in Slums, in ecologically endangered or destroyed areas, in reservations or in warzones.
Musical journey around the world
Maffay knows that always children suffer the most - in particular, if they suffer from poverty, diseases or children with disabilities. The musical activities achieved their temporarily Highlight in spring 2006, when the 14 artists from 13 Nations recorded the songs for the album.

The Roots
"Begegnungen - Eine Allianz für Kinder" is the consistent continuation of " Begegnungen" , Peter Maffay´s album and the identical Tour of 1998 and 1999. The focus is on the musical exchange with artists of all five continents, regardless of which political, religious or cultural differences there might be - but extended to charity dimensions.
